| Welcome to My World " The Wenatchee Valley"
NormaJean has enjoyed a lifetime, love affair, with the Wenatchee Valley.
Geographically, located just 135 miles east of Seattle and only 165 miles west of Spokane. Translated into driving time, it is only 2.5 hours to Seattle and 3.5 hours to Spokane. It is a 30-minute flight to Seattle from Pangborn Memorial Airport in East Wenatchee. The largest urban area consists of the twin cities of Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, located on either side of the Columbia River.
The Columbia River flows through the middle of the valley providing many outdoor activities. If you prefer you can fish, ski, snowmobile or simply explore nearby area parks and trails. Wenatchee lies in the Cascade mountain range which is some of the prettiest geography in the country with lush green forests, winding rivers and snowcapped mountains. Area activities include in part, rides on the Riverfront Park Saunders Steam Train and the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center as well as festivals that are featured throughout the year including the well known Apple Blossom Festival. Wenatchee is well known for its apple orchards and grows some of the finest apples in the world. The Downtown- the heart of Wenatchee has received numerous awards for their efforts.
The Bavarian Village of Leavenworth offers more than 100 unique shops and restaurants. Each season hosts its own special events and activities, from the well-known Christmas Lighting festival to Autumn Leaf Festival to Oktoberfest.
Located 50 minutes from Wenatchee is the city of Chelan. Consistently ranked as one of the most pristine waters in the United States, Lake Chelan's 50.5-mile length acts as a natural conduit between the rugged mountain peaks up lake and the lush, fertile down lake valley.
Come and experience Wenatchee for yourself---
